The episode begins with Kyoko moping over not being able to 'kill Sho like an angel'. She then calls Moko and gets an idea on how to act properly. She imagines that she will be killing Moko's lover for hurting her. Kyoko calls Ren afterwards and he isn't there so she leaves part of a voice message, not saying that she has a problem. Meanwhile, Mimori is busy rewatching a part of the promo where Sho kisses her hair. Sho sees Kyoko walking towards him and looks at her. Kyoko's face looks deep in frustration and anger and Sho reaches out to her arm but Kyoko walks away. They start to shoot the killing scene again and Kyoko acts with such angelic grace and with real tears leaving Sho shocked. He was suppose to close his eyes when dying but instead he left his eyes open. They film again and one of the workers state that Kyoko and Sho look like a couple this way. Kyoko teases Sho because of his mistake but even after quarreling, they acted perfectly. After all that, Mimori knocks on Sho's door and comes in. Sho says in a sloppy tone,"Oh.. It's just you." and Mimori starts crying because Sho only thinks about Kyoko. Sho hugs her and she's in a hot gaze so her manager carries her away. Kyoko passes by and states how she didn't know Sho had the power to stop a girl's tears when in their childhood, when she cried, Sho was just standing there watching her. So, Kyoko didn't want to trouble him with her tears and finds a special place to cry alone. That's where she met Corn, the mysterious boy (which was in fact Ren). Kyoko's phone rings and it was from Ren. She starts talking and instead of saying that she had a problem she said that a wonderful event happened today at work. Sho then grabs the phone and ends the conversation by saying it was wonderful because she had made herself more famous by appearing in his promo.

Kyoko began her first day as a high school student. She was excited to be a "normal high school girl," but later found out that her high school is rather "abnormal" since the students are celebrities. On her way to her job in the Kimagure Rock (show), Kyoko overheard two female passer-bys talking about the Kurara commercial and saying that the "short-haired one" (Kyoko) was "average" and "not cut out to be a celebrity," which reminded Kyoko of Sho. While being upset about the passer-bys' comment, Kyoko received a call from Ren. Ren said Kyoko shouldn't show such a frightening face now that she's a celebrity on TV, but more importantly, she's a girl; Kyoko then spotted Ren on the phone standing on a balcony/platform above her. Apparently, Ren especially came to thank Kyoko for being his substitute manager; he also commented that Kyoko looks good in her school uniform. Ren gave Kyoko a 100-point stamp, but then stamped a -10-point stamp after Kyoko said she only went out of her way to take care of Ren to fulfill her duties as a substitute manager. Kyoko got angry when she saw the -10-point stamp, but Ren brushed it off by saying grab the wrong stamp (and only meant to give Kyoko 90 points) and covered it up with his fake, gentlemen smile.

After listening to the live performance of the previous year's Light Music Club, Mio is inspired to get the gang together to practice over the summer break for the upcoming school festival. Worried about cost, the girls turn to Tsumugi, who just so happens to have a villa along the coast. They travel to Tsumugi's oceanside villa, where Mio is determined to practice, however Ritsu and Yui end up having fun.

On the night of the festival, Taiga brings over a suit for Ryūji to wear whilst he still tries to get Minori to come to the party. The party kicks off with a special christmas song performed by Taiga and Ami. After the song, Taiga decides to go home to wait for Santa, stopping by Minori's house on the way to convince her to go to the party. Realising she'd be alone, Ryūji goes to Taiga's apartment dressed up as a 'Bear Santa Claus' in order to cheer Taiga up. Afterwards, she tells Ryūji to go back and wait for Minori. After he goes, Taiga finds the scarf he had lent her on the floor and when she goes to pick it up, she starts bursting into tears, and begins to realise that she wouldn't be able to stay by his side anymore. She goes outside calling for him, but he had already gone, so she cries on the pavement, just as Minori stopped by. Back at the school, Minori meets Ryūji and tells him that she doesn't want to see any ufos or spirits, and Ryūji interprets this as being dumped.

The Soul Reapers decide to take a vacation to the ocean in the real world because captain Byakuya Kuchiki destroyed the pool the Shinigami Women's Association covertly built in his mansion. The Women's association shop for swimsuits and then head for the beach where everyone meets up. After attending Ukitake's weak body from the heat, they form groups to produce works of art on the beach for a competition. Watermelon-like monsters attack and most of the Shinigami are helpless against them without their zanpakuto until Yoruichi Shihōin and Soi Fon defeat them. It is then revealed that Retsu Unohana arranged the event with Byakuya and Ukitake as a game of splitting watermelons, and several more arrived as the episode ends.
