Ed and Al visit Shou Tucker, an alchemist known to create chimeras with the ability to comprehend the human language on the recommendation of Roy Mustang. Meanwhile, an unknown Ishbalan has been sighted in Central as the main suspect in assassinating several known State Alchemists including Basque Grand. When Ed and Al came back to visit Shou and see his daughter, Nina, the man presented the two another chimera that can also comprehend the human language. The two alchemists, however, were horrified when they found out that Shou was the culprit in using his wife and daughter as parts of his chimera experiments due to his obsession in keeping his State Alchemist title to maintain his lifestyle. Detained by the army's Military Police for his crimes, the Ishbalan invades Shou's house and assassinates him and kills his second chimera after eliminating the MP detail stationed outside his house.
