Kakeru is stuck in a coma racked with pain and past memories. His friends are at his side worried for his state of health. Misuzu tries performing a ritual to heal him and free Kakeru of his torments. The Eye of Aion activates and past and present meet in a meeting of the minds. Next moring Kakeru awakens healed, to a weakened Misuzu passed out in his lap, which Yuka witnesses totally misinterpreting what she had seen. The others gather for breakfast. Everyone had been having a good time when Misuzu had a dizzy spell which Kakeru reponded to with concern upsetting Yuka causing her to run away blindly. Kakeru finally catches up to Yuka on the school roof top and assures her Misuzu and him are only friends.Yuka confesses her feelings for him, wanting a kiss.Kakeru refuses making Yuka runaway again. As Kakeru tries to go after her again Red Night then falls. A standoff ensues between the "fragments" and the Black Knights. As the battle begins Misuzu readies herself for a fight when Kukuri reveals her powers and slaughters all the nightmare blobs and a Black Knight in the process. After everyone regroups, Takahisa reveals he has found Yuka's backpack, all frayed and tattered. Kakeru fearing for Yuka goes out in search of her.
